Cosmetic Bonding
Bonding can improve the appearance of a tooth significantly. Using state-of-the-art materials, we can successfully bond high-strength composite resin material to the existing tooth enamel so that it becomes "part" of the tooth.
Bonding is used to fill small areas of decay, repairing chips to the biting surfaces of your front teeth, damage to the front side of the teeth at the gumline, especially when sensitivity is present, and to repair small fractures in the tooth enamel. Bonding may also be used to rebuild or reshape an entire tooth when a porcelain veneer is not an appropriate or desired option.
The bonding procedure is usually completed in a single office visit and may typically last two to five years on average and up to ten years before need of repair or replacement.
